The kids are settling in to their new school years, and have resumed club which has been great fun! The adults have been counting down the days until our annual Devon trip, and it is finally almost here which is very exciting for everyone.
St Mary's Secret Garden
At the beginning of the month, it was a lovely warm day, so we went down to a local garden we had heard of to have a wander round - it was so lovely and we looked at all the fresh fruit and vegtables they had been growing. Afterwards, we went for a lunch at The Premises Cafe & Bistro.
Artwork at Arts for All
As the summer break ended, we had less days out, and more creating within the art centre - here are some highlights! (Yes, Debbie wanted a Christmas Mickey Mouse to go in her frame, and yes, we know it is only September!) You may be able to recognise some Klimt and Lowry inspired paintings in there.
Volunteers
We had a lovely group of HSBC volunteers for the day, here are some photos from the activities we did together!
Lego Pop-Up
There was a pop-up Lego shop down the road from the art centre, so one morning we went down t see what it was like! We made Lego Flowers and put them on their flower wall, and afterwards went for a coffee.
Kids Club Mandalas
We had fun creating our own Mandala patterns in the kids club last week - a really amazing activity to practice consistency, persistence and patience!
A lovely lunch out
On a day where we had no club, Caroline had a visit from her nephew, Jacob. The adults know Jacob and consider him a great friend, so Caroline invited Robert and Philip out for a breakfast and a catch up!
Coming up.....
Anyone who knows us, knows that DEVON is in October!!! The countdown is on, and has been on since the day we came home from Devon last year - so stay tuned for all the photos from the holiday next month.
We were very lucky to have a short film made about Arts for All, which we will share with you next month. We are holding a special launch for the film, which is very kindly being hosted by The Hart Hotel, Shoreditch. The launch will include a viewing of the film, as well as some drinks. Please do join us, on Wednesday 18th October, at 5.30pm. The film will be shown promptly at 6pm (it's a 3 minute film!) and the evening will come to an end at 7pm.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Next week on the 4th October, we were holding an exhibition at the offices of British Land. Due to the train and tube strikes, this event will be cancelled. We will reschedule this event and let you know a new date. Thank you.
