As always, we have had a busy month full of activities and fun! Here are a few highlights.
Collaborative Workshop!
Starting off an amazing month, on the 5th October Will Redgrove, a local muralist, youth worker and friend of the charity, came to the centre to run a workshop with us as part of an ongoing project. He had previously been for a mask making workship with the adults, so returned with the group photos and projected them onto a large piece of paper. They traced around themselves and coloured it in, it was such a lovely collaborative activity.
Mural!
Following on from our workshops, Will planned a mural based in Shoreditch! Below is a photo of the first mural, which is of Tony wearing a mask they made in their workshop. He has plans to do a big group one in the near future too, which will be an amazing source of exposure of the charity to the local area!
If you would like to visit this mural, it is located by the Brewdog Pub (near Shoreditch High Street Station/on Redchurch Street)
Kids Club shout-out
We wanted a special mention for the amazing Aaliyah, who was so kind and thoughtful to want to make a dress for her lovely mother. She worked hard with our volunteer Charli, and her mum absolutely loved it.
AFA Devon Holiday 2022
We had been counting down the days since last year, and the time finally arrived! From the 10th - 16th October we were away on our holidays in Devon.
We had a super busy and fun week exploring the area, walking, playing games, taking part in different workshops, in the spa, at the pub and dancing the night away to tribute bands. This trip is such a highlight for the whole gang!
There are a whole load more photos from this trip that will be cherished forever, but here is a small selection with more over on our Instagram and Facebook pages.
Arts for All Shop
With help from Katherine at the Arts Council, we have now set up a 'Shop' on our website. We have lots of amazing artwork on mugs, tea towels and tote bags now available to buy, and think they are going to make amazing Christmas gifts too.
Our Community
Arts for All wants to support those who will struggle to cope this winter by helping to provide essential items. If you know of anyone who might be suffering due to the cost of living please do not hesitate to contact Caroline for a confidential chat.
If there is anything you can do to help in terms of donations (food or other items) please also contact Caroline.
Coming up in November...
We have an exciting exhibition down at JP Morgan's office in Canary Wharf coming up! We also have ongoing support of some lovely volunteers from JP Morgan, UCL Men's Rugby Club and more.
